Those we have lost from Pershing Rifles and CAPERS from the University of Oklahoma
This is the page I don't like having on this site, but it is an important tribute to the members of Pershing Rifles Company H-7 who have died. I know that this page will, unfortunately get longer. Mark's death, just we started working on building the Alumni Association really made me start this page. Feel free to send us pictures (or better pictures) of these alumni, as well as any memories to make them alive in our memories.

Mark Freeman, Fall 1969 Pledge Class |
|
We received this message from Brian McConnell on December 27, 2009: "I have the sad duty to inform you that an old P/R brother, Mark Freeman, 1973, Marine Corps pilot, passed away suddenly last week of a stroke. Mark was a tall, blond, fighter pilot type (which he was). He was a pilot for NWA after ten years in the Corps. I met up with him in Minneapolis a couple of times when he was piloting 747 Freighters. Mark would have been about 58 years old. He was a funny, articulate guy, with a big smile. Do any of you remember him? He was about the only Navy ROTC member of our company. I know he left a wife, Janet, and some kids. If I get more details. I’ll pass them on."

Linda (Turnbull) Spears Hamilton, Fall 1968 CAPER Pledge Class |
| I found out on-line that Linda had died, but I have no details. Linda was a "military brat" who graduated from high school in Bangkok, Thailand. She only stayed in CAPERS for one year, but we were in the same dorm (Hester House) the next year, so we stayed friends. I always hated that I'd lost touch with her. I will always remember her.
