Company H-7 Memories

We are getting close to really feeling like we are finding more Pershing Rifles H-7 Alumni (and a few CAPER Alumni) and notifying them about this site, so it is time to get started with the "fun stuff", our memories.  Linda has already posted a lot of her formal CAPER memories on the CAPER History page, but this is for the fun stuff.  There is now a CAPER Memory page.  CAPERS and P/Rs can post to either page depending on whether it is a memory of CAPERS or P/Rs.

The form for submitting your memories will be at the bottom of the page, no matter how long it gets.  Don't worry, you WILL get credit for your memories!

Now let the fun stuff start!

My first memories of P/Rs were the 7 am drills for CAPER Pledges and P/R Grubbies. I can remember sitting along the wall to the classroom outside of the P/R office waiting for drill to start and getting to know the Grubbies.  Hey, I did end up marrying one of those Grubbies several years later!!!  I can also remember (because I heard it for years), the challenge that the Active Members would give the Grubbies:  "What is the definition of a Grubbie."   I want to see how much of the definition you remember, click here to give your memory of the definition and then see what others have posted.

I also remember my P/R "Big Brother", Dee Epperson.  He ended up dating and then marrying one of my fellow pledges, Terry Hunt.  I went to their wedding in Ponca City.  After the wedding, they came back to OU for another semester, but I haven't seen them since.  According to Dee's brother, they have been divorced for years, but I haven't been able to find either of them.  Any ideas?
