All the Junior Swingers who attended this reunion got copies of these pictures, but if you have just found this site, I hope you'll enjoy seeing them. I was coming home for a visit and thought it would be nice to just have a "get together" with any Junior Swingers in town. Within 3 weeks it became a full fledged reunion. We had 15 Junior Swinger, along with some spouses and some children, show up at my parents' (Mr. & Mrs. G.) home. The last one to show up was Betty, who had said she wasn't coming and decided a few hours before to drive up from the Dallas area.
For those of you who just found this site, how did you do at figuring out who was there? Yes, it's really us...including Mr. and Mrs. G! It was interesting how for about the first 15 minutes or so we kind of "circled around" talking to these strange people....until we realized they were still the same old friends inside! As you can see, this picture, taken at the end of the evening, was full of smiles!!! If we can find several more "missing Junior Swingers", maybe we'll be able to get people excited about coming to another reunion, like we were on this one.
The most interesting part of this reunion is that many of us hadn't seen each other in years. We had some who were best friends....and even a couple of my honorary "brothers". But there were also some who parted years ago as "non-friends"...but we still ended up as a group of old friends. This is one group of very special people...who I am proud to call my friends.

(Billy actually drove in from Colorado to meet his mother here...and meet us. I understand that Billy looks like his father in the face, but he does have blond, curly hair and has a very similar personality and simply reminded us all of his uncle. We were all glad he came. After the get together at Mom and Dad's house, we went over to the old Labadie Heights School (Micky's dad got it for us) and actually square danced a little! Billy went to a movie with Marianne's daughters.)
