CAPER Company T-1

CAPER Company T-1 was located at Central State University in Wilberforce, OH.  According to the 1967 Pershing Rifleman, CAPER Company T-1 was one of the first 5 chartered CAPER companies, meaning it was chartered before March 17, 1966.

In the 1965 Pershing Rifleman the Pershing Rifles Company T-1 article said "Company T-1's coed drill team, the Pershing Angels, has achieved much this year.  Under the command of senior P/R Tommy I. Brown, the Pershing Angels has captivated its spectators with its difficult, but precise, exhibitions.  Presently, the Pershing Angels are working towards its first completely silent sequence, a milestone in coed drill."

This means that both future CAPER Company T-1 and Company C-15 were established and using the Pershing Angels name at the same time.  At this time, there is no way that we can tell which one used the name first.

In a binder of CAPER documents and letters, I found a letter that I wrote to the PMS at Central State.  He had sent us a letter telling us that the company no longer existed.  I told him that I would keep their charter active in case they reorganized the company.
