CAPER Company O-5
CAPER Company O-5 (Pershing Rifles Headquarters Platoon Ogontz) was located at Pennsylvania State University. They chartered before September 1, 1970 as their company was found on a list with that date in the Pershing Rifles Archives. Obviously, it was before the 1969 Pershing Rifleman article and picture, as they are pictured with CAPER cords. The article, which says their local name was Kaydettes, says that they were organized during the 1967-68 school year.

This company is not in any of the lists in the Pershing Rifleman yearbook, but that is not unusual. Not only do I remember them, but if you could see the first picture below from the 1969 Pershing Rifleman, you'd know that they were wearing CAPER cords. The article says they were organized during the 1967-68 school year.

The article in the 1969 Pershing Rifleman said that they had spent the previous year organizing and that now they were participating in drill competition, ROTC functions and charitable work. They placed second in the Keystone Competition at University Park, PA. They also competed in the 4th Annual East Coast Invitational Drill Meet in Philadelphia.
