CAPER Company D-6

CAPER Company D-6 was located at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.  According to the Pershing Rifles Company D-6 article in the 1968 Pershing Rifleman, CAPER Company D-6 was started in the Fall of 1967.  They were missed in the Pershing Rifleman articles by CAPER National Headquarters, probably because the chartered after the 1968 article was written.

Here is a picture of one of the members, Peggi (Reed) Wolfe, of Company D-6 at the 1969 National Convention in San Antonio, Texas.

CAPER Company D-6 article in the 1969 Pershing Rifleman says that the first year under the long-awaited charter for CAPER Company D-6 proved to be one of growth and success.  Their first drill performance was in the Louisiana State University Homecoming Day activities.  Later they marched in Baton Rouge Christmas Parade.  Later in the year year they marched in the American Legion Parade in Baton Rouge, the 6th Regimental Drill Meet sponsored by V-6, Spring Hill College in Mobile, AL and the Southern Invitational Drill Meet sponsored by 6th Regimental Headquarters.

Collecting cola bottles and selling pep telegrams for the football game with Ole Miss were successful money-raising projects.
